Behind the Scenes of My Latest Art Collection
This week, I’m excited to take you behind the scenes as I prepare to release my latest collection. If you’re new here, I’ve been running a print shop on Etsy for about seven years, and while I’ve learned a lot about selling online, fine art is a bit different, it’s about capturing a feeling, not just selling a product.
For every collection, I make sure to go the extra mile by doing a photo shoot. High-quality images of the art (and of me with it) help connect with customers and elevate the overall presentation of the work.
The collection I’m releasing captures that nostalgic, peaceful summer feeling, think sitting by the pool or beach, soaking up the sun. I’m releasing two prints as well: one that’s more colourful and one that’s neutral, so there’s something for everyone.
When it comes to framing, I avoid glass to reduce glare and ensure the artwork is photographed clearly. For the shoot, I’m keeping it simple with outfits I already own, like a vintage dress that gives off a laid-back, summery vibe.
