This painting is meant to capture the beauty of one of our Ontario wetlands animals, as a response to the Ontario government's plan to build a highway through the Greenbelt. The execution of this project would add over 17 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, destroy wetlands and pave over 8.8 million square metres of ground.

Proceeds from the sale of this painting will be donated to Environmental Defence, who are working tirelessly to try to stop this project from happening.

I'm smiling in this photo, but crying on the inside. I'm tired of reckless governors who only care about money and have no compassion for the planet and its beings.
